LA DOLCE VITA (The sweet life)
My husband and I have been watching travelogs on Italy recently and I really want to go back. Actually, I'd like to go anywhere, to be totally honest with you. The travel bug has bitten me again. But back to the travelogs on Italy........
I noticed that the Italians have mastered something that us Americans have not. To slow down and enjoy the sweet life. Which got me thinking, how can I slow down? I figured it out quite by accident today. I knew that I had chicken that I needed to cook in the slow cooker. I prepared it this morning for my lunches for the week. At noon, the chicken was done. Looking at my calendar I realized that I didn't have any calls until 2. I decided at that moment to slow down. I prepared a beautiful lunch and took my time enjoying it, sitting outside on this beautiful day. Doing this one act of slowing down actually energized me for the afternoon.

She did go, by the way, and her world just grew. But the biggest accomplishment is that her anxiety and that weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She is able to live her life in a mindful, focused way.
